Taking place at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, “Wonders of Imperial Carpets: Masterpieces from the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha” is the first large-scale exhibition of Islamic art in the city. The exhibition displays carpets from Safavid Iran, Ottoman Türkiye and Mughal India, as well as ceramics, metal objects, manuscripts and jades from the 10th to 19th centuries.

This Highlight Show will showcase the most exciting moments from the very first European Running Championships, which included top runners around the globe joined by 28,000 non-elite runners across the programme. This episode features the performances of marathon event.

In their course design, the three teachers also place great emphasis on "connecting learning with life." They lead students out of the classroom, extending learning to various aspects of life. Through activities such as literary walks, storytelling, and drama performances, students not only apply their language skills and techniques but also build confidence, experience the beauty of Chinese traditional culture, and understand how to approach life and relations.

The two hosts, having traveled from Hong Kong, will venture beyond Nara to explore Kyoto and Osaka in this episode. Kyoto, with its ancient charm, is well-known to many in Hong Kong. Since the hosts aim to provide a unique and in-depth experience, the places they visit will be different from the usual tourist spots. They will take viewers away from the hustle and bustle to the outskirts of Kyoto, starting with a visit to a chestnut orchard to pick chestnuts. Next, they'll head to the famous Uji tea area, where they will participate in tea picking and a soba noodle-making experience. For cultural experiences, they will take part in a sumi ink-making workshop, highlighting the influence of Chinese culture. Interestingly, the works of famous Tang dynasty poets like Li Bai and Du Fu were highly regarded by the Japanese. Traveling is not just about sightseeing but also about enjoying food and shopping. The hosts will visit a 120-year-old shop that originally specialized in stage makeup products for geishas. They will also discover that the face oil paper we commonly use today was invented by this very company. As a nation adept at absorbing foreign cultures, Japan has embraced not only Chinese culture but also jazz music, which has a history of over a century in the country. Although the younger generation now shows less enthusiasm for jazz than previous generations, the music-loving hosts will still visit a jazz live house to experience the lingering charm of jazz.

The applications of small unmanned aircraft are rapidly expanding, now covering areas such as 3D digital mapping, search and rescue, aerial photography, drone shows, land and building surveys, as well as inspections of utilities and power lines. To support the development of small unmanned aircraft, the government introduced the Small Unmanned Aircraft Order, aimed at helping participants grasp essential operational theory and the latest regulatory requirements, enhance safety practices, and strengthen risk awareness. “The Pride of Hong Kong: Three Preeminent Collections of Ancient Paintings and Calligraphies” is being held at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. It’s the first time that the three major ancient calligraphy and painting collections in Hong Kong have been brought together, with a selection of 93 sets of classic calligraphy and painting works from Tang Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. The three preeminent collections are Low Chuck-tiew’s Xubaizhai, Ho Iu-kwong’s Chih Lo Lou and Lee Jung-sen’s Bei Shan Tang. They and their families have donated their invaluable collections to the Museum of Art and the Art Museum of CUHK for the benefit of the general public.

Volleyball Nations League Hong Kong will be held from June 18th to 22nd. It’s the first time it will be held at the Kai Tak Arena. The five-day tournament will feature six world-class teams, namely China, Italy, Japan, Thailand, Czech Republic and Bulgaria, with a total of 12 matches.
